Kelly Handyside
Kelly Handyside is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), Certified Visceral Techniques Practitioner (CVTP), and Certified CranioSacral Therapist (CST-T). Kelly implements Visceral Manipulation as her primary focus, integrating Neural Manipulation and CranioSacral Therapy in her practice. Her lifelong interest in the body and its movement springs from her 25 years in the study of dance including kinesiology, teaching and choreography at a university level (University of Michigan, 1997-2000). Ever since becoming a manual therapist, she has directed her career and curiosity deeper into the realm of the human body, how it can move with greater ease and how patients can self heal. After working in a clinical setting for 3 years, she began her private practice in 2001. From the very beginning of her practice, clients have come to her for a blend of Visceral & Neural Manipulation, and CranioSacral Therapy. These modalities offer transformational benefits through a steady focus on treating sources rather than symptoms. Her practice attracts a wide range of clients – infants, pediatrics, adults and senior clients. Kelly takes great professional pride in assisting her clients in finding what their bodies need, how to begin addressing those needs, and provides optimum strategies and techniques for accomplishing their well-being goals. Kelly truly appreciates the openness and trust her clients offer as they work towards the goal of wellness and their journey of balance.
Additionally, Kelly is a VM1 Barral Institute Instructor, Certified Teaching Assistant for The Upledger Institute, and is a Teaching Assistant in Visceral Manipulation with the Barral Institute.
